Format

Classes are from 9AM - 5PM each day. Classes are generally in 90-minute blocks including lectures, discussions, exercises, tours, skills demonstrations, and projects. There will generally be a 1-hour lunch break and 15-minute morning and afternoon breaks.

Attendance

Attendance is essential and required. No more than 1 FULL DAY can be missed to receive a certificate.

Physical Requirements

The course includes some walks of a few miles on terrain such as forest trails, standing / sitting outdoors, and various physical labor activities. We welcome students to bring along a small camp chair for resting along walks or to excuse themselves from activities as needed. Please contact us if you would like to discuss further.

Food

Lunch WILL NOT be provided as part of your registration fee. You are encouraged to bring your own bag lunch. 

Location

Classes will primarily be at Forested in Bowie, Maryland with some activities to take place in DC, Hyattsville and Arlington.

Camping

If you would like to camp at Forested during part or all of the course, please email Lincoln. We have space to pitch tents on the ground. Bring your own food. No alcohol or drugs permitted.
